Our first trip was to the zoo on the Fourth of July. It seems like it was so long ago but there is a funny story I want to write about until I forget about it.
If you ever want to see turtles mating go to the zoo on the fourth of July! We have been to the zoo on the 4Th for the past 2 years. Last year the St. Louis zoo and this year the Springfield zoo. Both times the turtles were mating. They mate all day long and make this awful sound while mating. This year Payson remembers things a little better than last. So about 2 weeks later he was asking about different animals and what kind of sounds they make. He got to the turtle and asked "what sound does the turtle make mom"? I said "um I don't think turtles make any sounds". He then corrected me and said "yes they do mom, they go mm mm mm". Needless to say my boy now thinks turtles make that awful mating sound all the time.
Sadie was scared of the statue of the crocodile. If you listen closely you can hear the turtles in the back round doing there thing.
Me and the kids got to go to Arizona with my parents sometime around the 24Th of July. We were there for almost 2 weeks and I didn't get one picture, but my sister got a few that I am stealing from her. We had fun in Az and got to see a lot of family we don't get to see very often.

Preston Payson and Sadie fought the entire time. Shannon caught them all being so good and sitting together and had to take a picture because this is SO rare.
Our most recent trip was to Galveston Texas. We just got back Wednesday. It was such a short trip but we had a lot of fun. Bradley had to go there to take a test for his work and we decided to tag along. Highlights of the short trip was going to my cousins Brooke's house and seeing her family, the boardwalk, and the beach. The beach was so much fun. We didn't get to stay long but the water was so perfect and there was hardly anyone there.

Looks like you guys had fun. I can't wait to go to the beach! I love the video of Sadie. Preston is all, "I went to that zoo with my Dad".

Wow! What a fun summer! Ours started out good, but kind of fizzled. Oh well. I'm enjoying the free time while Skyler and Hunter are at school. :) Miss you guys!
